Currently we can provide run control products for HBsAg, anti-HIV-1/2 and anti-HCV testing. Serological products are not infectious as the standards are inactivated and the dilution matrix is prepared from negative tested plasma units.
SeraCon Run Controls are intended for use in assessing the performance of immunoassay test procedures for the qualitative determination of HBsAg, anti-HIV and anti-HCV. The reagents are designed to yield a low positive results. This low positive results is created by diluting a positive sample. As such it does not represent a low positive sample present in the seroconversion where the antibody reactivity patterns are different. The run controls are intended to monitor the performance of the laboratory system.
The HBsAg standard dilution series are suitable for determining the diagnostic, analytical sensitivity of HBsAg assays. Using the standard dlution series users can determine the sensitivity of the assay. A calculation tool is provided on by clicking on this link.
